"What is it about masks and loneliness?"
Hey all. I hope you’re keeping healthy and safe. Just wanted to send out a note to see how everybody is doing with The Lonely City and give a few updates.
Since I forgot about Passover and Easter, I’m going to bump up the book club discussion to the 21st. So a little over a week later than originally planned, but that is the date and I believe we’ll be using Zoom. I’ll send out another e-mail once I get that situated.
Since Olivia was gracious enough to say she’d participate somehow, I’m going to ask if she’d do it live next sometime later next week before the meeting. I’ll have an update in the next e-mail about that.
Whatever Olivia chooses to do, I’d love for all of you to submit questions. I’m thinking of maybe asking her about ten or so. Please feel free to e-mail me at Jason@vol1brooklyn.com and put “Book club question” in the subject.
One other thing, for those of you in NYC, Lauren Goldberg saw my tweet about wanting to visit Edward Hopper’s studio in the Village when it’s safe to be out and about again and suggested maybe we get a few people together to do a group tour of some of the places mentioned in the book. Let me know if anybody might be interested in that sort of thing and I’ll think of something.
That’s it! Try and stay as safe, happy and healthy as possible. And don’t forget to send me those questions. Try getting them to me no later than Friday.
Thanks!
